February
Leap Year Day Brunch, followed by Business/Planning Meeting
Sunday, February 29 - Part 1 will be the 3rd installment of "Eat Your Way Around the World from A to Z". For the letter "C", we will have crepes and coffee at a Cafe/Creperie in Manhattan, location to be announced. After brunch, we shall adjourn to my apartment in the Murray Hill section of Manhattan for a No Kidding! NYC business and planning meeting. As I recall, we haven't had one of these in over a year. Since we have many new members, this would be a good time to hold a meeting to discuss various topics, such as:
- Planning upcoming events
- The direction/focus of the group
- Advertising and promotion (including writing a press release)
- The email list, the EZ board, voice mail and website
- Hosting the 2008 national No Kidding! convention
- Rules, policies and guidelines
- childfree/childless issues
- networking with other NK chapters
- Getting to know each other and having fun!
As soon as I have the details ironed out (i.e. locations and times) I will let you know. If any of you know of any good creperies and/or cafes that have a good brunch and can accommodate a fairly large group (8-12 people), I am open to suggestions.
